OUR PASTORS

 

Mr. & Mrs. Victor and Kortney Jones are the Co-Pastors of Acts Campus Ministry at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, their Alma Mater.  After receiving their undergraduate degrees, they attended Eastern Illinois University and received their M.S. in College Student Affairs. However, it is their spiritual journey while at EIU that led them to chartering this campus ministry.

 

While graduate students, they learned about Acts Campus Ministry at EIU. Once members, they were invited to participant in the Cultivating Ministers program facilitated by Bishop Andrew Robinson, PhD.  What started out as a ministerial ordination program, turned into a 2 1/2 year Master of Divinity Program from which they were ordained and licensed as ministers on Aug 23, 2015.  Just months before graduation, Mr. & Mrs. Jones felt a strong burden from the Lord to bring Acts to UIUC.  Mr. & Mrs. Jones are thrilled, honored, and privileged to serve the students, faculty, staff, and community members!

The Jones house includes their children, Victory Kay and Victor III, and Pastor Vic's mother Sheila Eberhardt, affectionately known as "Gmomma".  They reside in Champaign, IL and both work as a student affairs practitioners at UIUC.  Pastor Vic enjoys cutting hair, wrestling, music, road trips, sharing  a good story, and spending time with his family.  Pastor Kortney enjoys going to waterparks, organizing, being with family, and traveling.
