Prayer Ministry

Description

The Prayer Team Ministry meets each Sunday morning to seek the face of God in intercessory prayer. We will maintain an attitude of responsibility to Jesus Christ, our pastor, and those in need. We will be thankful through prayer, knowing that our prayers are the bridge between people and situations to our God, who is Omnipotent. We understand the honor and privilege of knowing the various needs and keeping those needs only before the throne. Revival starts within each of us as we affect our world through prayer and fasting. It is humbling to serve and partner together in unity. It is not by our power, nor by our might, but through God’s power, through God’s might that our prayers are turning our world upside down with miracles, signs and wonders. Our prayer will help unify, strengthen and edify others while defeating the powers of darkness.

 

Purpose

The purpose of this ministry is to maintain a dedicated and empowered prayer team that intercedes for the needs of the church.

Mission

To pray in intercession for the needs of others and for preparing hearts in worship prior to ACTS Campus Ministry Sunday worship meetings.

 

Vision

That all people humble themselves in prayer resulting in God healing the sick, freeing the spiritual captives, forgiving sin and reconciling individuals in relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Goals

• To better hear the voice of God and to grow in the intimacy and depth of prayer.

• Pray for our various ministries, for our pastors, and for any specific requests from our congregation.

• Prayer for Holy Ghost revival to occur within ACTS Campus Ministry, the EIU campus, and surrounding community.

 

Scripture

“If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
